Our Therapy Services
Speech Therapy
Amy's focus is home based speech therapy and dementia care consulting. Services are provided in the individual's familiar environment to enhance function and safety at home. Therapy can focus on developing individualized strategies and aids to improve the individual's ability to complete daily tasks and hobbies safely and independently. Therapeutic intervention is used to allow individuals with dementia to remain at home for as long as possible. Interventions include but are not limited to: development of visual aids to assist individuals with completion of daily tasks, use of strategies to facilitate recall of information as well as environmental modifications to improve safety at home.
Consultation
Consultations are provided to caregivers to improve relationships, decrease stress and prevent caregiver burnout. Caring for a loved one with dementia is challenging, both physically and emotionally. Consultation services will focus on improving caregiver relationships and decreasing challenging behaviors.

Amy Rust MS CCC-SLP
Amy has been a Speech Language Pathologist in the medical field for over 15 years, working with adults in home care, subacute rehab, and in skilled nursing facilities. Throughout her career, she has focused on treating individuals with dementia and other progressive neurocognitive disorders.

Amy has been a Speech Language Pathologist in the medical field for over 15 years, working with adults in home care, subacute rehab, and in skilled nursing facilities. Throughout her career, she has focused on treating individuals with dementia and other progressive neurocognitive disorders.
Amy received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Nazareth College and is licensed in the State of New York. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Language Association.
Expert Therapy
Amy is a certified Dementia Capable Care provider. Therapy and consultation services are patient centered and focused on improving the patient's quality of life, ability to function in the home environment and, with the goal for them to continue the activities they enjoy for as long as possible. All services are provided in the comfort of your own home.
